Pan Pacific Perth hosts Melbourne Cup High Tea for Starlight Children’s Foundation

9 October 2015, Perth – As race season approaches, Pan Pacific Perth will be hosting an exquisite Melbourne Cup High Tea luncheon for a good cause, to raise funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
 
Hosted by Channel Seven’s Haley Thompson, indulge in a beautiful High Tea lunch, featuring a selection of delectable starter plates such as crispy pancetta with rock melon marinated in champagne, basil and parmesan, a sundried tomato scone with blue cheese and roasted grape followed by a selection of savoury bites including a smoked salmon and cucumber sandwich with truffle cream cheese and slightly spiced coronation chicken on spinach loaf. Indulge in picture perfect desserts such as a mango shooter with caramelised white chocolate ganache and sesame nougatine and rhubarb crumble tart with vanilla cremeux all served on the finest three tiered stands. All dishes are complemented with free flowing beverages including sparkling, wine, beer, soft drink and a selection of organic Dilmah teas and espresso coffee.
 
Former Starlight Wish child, Emma Bright, will be speaking at the event about her experience. A percentage of the ticket price is going straight to the charity, with Pan Pacific Perth hoping to raise a significant contribution from both tickets sales and the fundraising raffle.
 
State Partnerships Manager for Starlight, Jayne Graham, said “We are so grateful to be partnering with Pan Pacific Perth for this year’s Melbourne Cup event. The funds we raise will go directly to brightening the lives of seriously ill children, young people and their families and allow Starlight to continue to deliver our vital and innovative programs right here in WA”.
