Sydney, Australia - 19 October 2015 – Brother International Australia; an industry leader in multi-needle embroidery technology, is proudly partnering with Echidna Sewing to launch the Persona PRS100; a completely new embroidery product, an affordable, yet versatile single needle embroidery machine with free arm capabilities.

The PRS100 gives you the tools to unlock your embroidery potential. Its unrivalled combination of features and functionality allows you to truly unleash your creativity, bringing increased levels of efficiency and individuality to your work. The 200 x 200 mm (8” x 8”) embroidery area allows you to take on large and complex designs with confidence, without the need to re-hoop. Embroidery enthusiasts will also love the unique physical design and its mere 18-inch wide footprint, which is less than a standard flatbed embroidery machine. The new tubular free arm configuration allows for versatility, as one can now embroider hard to reach areas like caps and sleeves without the stress of fabric tangles, or having to open seams to get items hooped properly.

Another great advantage is the included accessories to help embroiderers enhance their favourite projects. These include a 200 x 200mm (8” x 8”) and a 100 x 100mm (4” x 4”) frame, as well as a 4-Spool Thread Stand to hold four spools of thread for easier thread change. If that wasn’t enough, Brother has also created a new set of 4 unique compact mini embroidery frames, which are exclusive to the Persona. Now it’s easier than ever to add touches of embroidery to small items like children’s garments and pockets.

“We are very proud to partner with Echidna Sewing Products, a leading Sewing and Embroidery Dealer, for this exciting launch”, stated John Timmins, Channel Manager, Home Sewing Machines at Brother International Australia. “The Persona is a unique embroidery machine that offers a wide variety of special features, in particular the flexibility of a single needle free arm. This is a great entry level addition to the already impressive range of PR machines on offer from Brother”.

Other exciting features include the 405 built-in embroidery designs to add a personal touch to a wide range of items such as towels, beach bags or work clothes, the Droplight embroidery positioning marker; that helps you to achieve perfect needle placement, showing exactly where the needle will drop, as well as the Colour Sort editing function that allows you to easily cut down on thread changes by letting the PRS100 sort the stitch order by colour. The Persona gives your work a professional finish with a personal touch, allowing you the creative freedom to put your own individual designs and flare on any material.

Echidna Sewing Products are now selling the PRS100’s Australia-wide as Brother’s exclusive launch partner. “Our customers are excited about the new easy to use, compact Persona PRS100 and it's Free Arm embroidery capability. It's like the missing link for home embroiderers! We've been Australia's leading supplier of Brother embroidery machines since 2006, specialising in the Professional PR series and, as the exclusive launch partner for the Brother Persona, Echidna Sewing Products is thrilled to announce stock is now available” said Gary Walker, Managing Director at Echidna Sewing Products.
