DETAILS:

When it comes to candidate experience, individuals will often report on the bad ones far more often than the good ones. For employers, this can hurt their brand and reputation and create tension internally as recruiters and HR seek to align their actions against business goals. In order to avoid this predicament, organisations need to consider all of the factors influencing the recruitment process, including the possibility of resentment.

During the Australasian Talent Conference’s “Sourcing. Social. Talent. 2015” events, Elaine Orler, chairman and co-founder of Talent Board, will join Chris Hoyt, partner, CareerXroads, to present, “The Cost of Candidate Resentment vs. Improving Candidate Experience.” Throughout their presentation, Orler and Hoyt will illustrate what causes candidate resentment as well as what motivates individuals to share poor interactions in a public way. Drawing on five years of the Candidate Experience Awards data, Orler will demonstrate the impact that one negative experience can have on both consumer-facing and business-to-business organizations and what companies can do to avoid this issue. Conference attendees will take away actionable insights and useful tips on how to engage candidates in a positive way.

Corporate talent managers, HR directors and recruiters interested in learning how to calculate the estimated costs of candidate resentment plus how it relates to the overall candidate experience at their own organizations are encouraged to attend these sessions.
