Jucy Group Books in with Promapp To Support Global Expansion

Announcement posted by Promapp 16 Nov 2015

Promapp Solutions, an industry leading provider of cloud-based process management software for creating and storing business processes online, has been awarded a contract by JUCY, Australia’s favourite campervan rental and car hire company, to provide solutions and services in support of the organisation’s global expansion plans.

JUCY prides itself on offering unique and exciting travel solutions across New Zealand, Australia and the US.  The New Zealand-headquartered company was established in 2002 and now operates a fleet of more than 3,000 vehicles in New Zealand, 700 vehicles in Australia and almost 300 in the US.  In addition, the company has its own campervan manufacturing division and offers travellers a suite of products, including hotel accommodation, cruising adventures and insurance services.

Rapid revenue growth in recent years has resulted in prolific customer expansion with a corresponding increase in employee numbers to support its focus on delighting customers and provide exceptional service.  However, the company traditionally lacked a formal, standardised approach to capturing processes, with many processes being stored in various formats including physical operations manuals and basic Microsoft Word files.

“We are a marketing-led organisation and our goal is to become a global tourism player.  As a result, we decided a couple of years ago to deploy a lean environment which would help the business by putting the focus on the key activities that will create value for our customers.  The decision to deploy Promapp as the core platform for supporting lean principles will enable us to document processes and provide staff with consistent access to the same set of processes and knowledge whether they’re located in Cairns or Las Vegas,” said Tim Alpe, CEO, JUCY.

Promapp’s solution focuses on making processes simple to document, use and maintain.  Being cloud-based, processes stored in Promapp can be viewed and updated in real time providing organisations with both business continuity and a platform for ongoing process improvement.  Users are also empowered to recommend changes to processes while on the job.

Promapp was attractive to JUCY based on its intuitive user interface and rich feature functionality.  In addition, being cloud-based it will enable everyone in the business to access and provide feedback on processes whenever they want and wherever they may be located.   Mobile and tablet users will also benefit from being able to access content at their own moment of need.  Having access to processes via SharePoint will also enhance knowledge management across the business.

”With around 300 people in the JUCY business right now, we need global systems, policies and procedures in place.  Promapp will enable us to streamline and report on operational aspects such as staff induction, ongoing training, and day-to-day operational issues such as vehicle pick-up and drop-off, accommodation bookings and insurance.

“Ultimately, Promapp will also provide everyone in the business from the Head of Technology to our newest customer service representative with a voice to provide feedback on processes on everything from car detailing to campervan manufacturing.  It’s a game changer for our business and will support our growth strategy operating as we do in a booming, global tourism environment,” says Alpe.

Promapp will be progressively deployed throughout JUCY’s global operations over the next 12 months.
