Brisbane, Qld, November 24, 2015- Tomorrow, FACULTY: Online Magazine for Australian Educators celebrates the release of its final issue for 2015.
Founded in April 2014 this publication has gone from an idea to a publication that is read worldwide. The two initial aims of the magazine were to:
To develop a platform that would evolve into a community of practice for the education community, regardless of the sector or subject from which the educators belong too.
Allow undergraduate students to get involved in the education community and have their thoughts heard!
Director and Founder of FACULTY, Nathan Watts states that those objectives have definitely been met over the last two years.
Furthermore the publication has moved to make the following inclusions to broaden the scope of its contributors by:
Allowing submission of high quality curriculum and education unit assignments.
Expansion to the inclusion of international articles by renowned international educators.
Over the last two years we saw some very well know educators making submissions to the publication including:
Lyatte Peach – Nominee for Trainer of the year award.
Professor Sue Trinidad – Director of the National Centre for Student Equity in Higher Education (NCSEHE).
Dr Kitty Drok – NCSEHE.
Karen Boyes – NZ Educator of the year 2014.
Sean M Douglas - Canadian Education lecturer and education advisor to multiple international education ministries.
Dr Ann Stewart – Head, Student Access and Equity (University of Sunshine Coast) and formerly Director of Equity UQ.
Gerard Stevenson – Director of Well Imagine That.
The final issue of the year is the largest published to date and has brought together an amazing cross section of the Australian education community. This issue features the following articles.
