InfoMotion Enhances Automated Scanning Features for 3PL Distribution and Logistics Companies

Announcement posted by InfoMotion 26 Nov 2015

Melbourne, 26 November 2015  –  InfoMotion, a leading provider of Logistics ERP software for the warehousing and logistics sector, has enhanced its InfoMotion icsLogistics ERP system database with a suite of applications featuring highly automated and configurable workflows processes designed to meet the increased complexities of 3PL warehousing, transport planning and distribution management.

Users can now design and generate scheduled reports directly from the InfoMotion icsLogistics database through a fully integrated and powerful report writer, scheduler and forms designer with an executive style dashboard due to commence development early in the new year. In addition, the InfoMotion user interface now includes new features such as menu search functionalities, improved screen layouts and increased visual cues. Other developments include a new and improved rating engine for customer pricing and contractor costings.

At the same time, icsLogistics ERP now features automated manifest planning for both line-haul and local distribution for operating environments where the utilisation of run schedules automatically determines which consignments to auto-attach to the relevant manifests sorted in drop sequence.

The manifest and associated consignments now become available on the InfoMotion ‘Scan-to-Load’ application in reverse order (first-on-last-off) ready for loading. On load completion the driver is auto assigned with consignments sent to the driver’s PDA in original drop sequence.

At each stage of the scanning process within the InfoMotion icsLogistics database, each movement is tracked and recorded in real-time starting with pick-up verification and scan-to-load’ manifest load confirmation through to depot scanning, multi-leg and line-haul freight management, and final destination proof-of-delivery via the driver sign-on-glass mobile solutions.
