Cricket Australia Wins Overall and People’s Choice Awards at Sitecore Experience Awards

Announcement posted by Sitecore 26 Nov 2015

Sydney – November 26, 2015 – Sitecore <http://www.sitecore.net/> , the global leader in customer experience management, has announced the winners of the 2015 Sitecore Experience Awards for Australia and New Zealand.

Now, in its eighth year, the Sitecore Experience Awards are awarded to Sitecore customers (and their partners) whose Sitecore solution is delivering an outstanding experience for both their customers and their own organisation, whether it is for the end-user customer, marketers, and business users working in an organisation, or developers working at a Sitecore solution partner.

The Sitecore judges considered creativity in the use of Sitecore’s capabilities to deliver outstanding and transformative business results, integration with applications, and multichannel engagement.

Cricket Australia (CA) www.cricket.com.au <http://www.cricket.com.au>  took home both the People’s Choice Award and the Overall Winner Award following the delivery of a best-in-class digital transformation program based on the Sitecore® Experience Platform™.   Accenture and Avanade worked closely with Cricket Australia to build the most powerful digital media business in the cricket world and a new digital home for the latest news and highlights and a series of other sub-sites to promote and develop the sport in Australia.  This required a broad range of services across the entire digital supply chain including: web; mobility; cloud; social media; analytics; and video.

CA’s web properties service more than one million unique users each month. In the 2014-15 season, more than 24 million people watched a game on television and 725,000 attended a live cricket match.  Australian cricket fans now have access to relevant and high-quality cricket content and news anywhere they like and on any device they want to use through.  www.cricket.com.au <http://www.cricket.com.au>  is now the most popular cricket website in Australia and CA Live is the most popular cricket app by rapidly delivering up-to-the-minute and rich content to cricket fans.

CSR’s Bradford Insulation division www.bradfordinsulation.com.au <http://www.bradfordinsulation.com.au>  scooped the Business Transformation Award.  Its new digital platform, which was designed and implemented on Sitecore in six weeks using an Agile delivery process, allows CSR Bradford to provide product information to builders, distributors , architects and specifiers  and link to other brands within the organisation. As CSR is comprised of a large number of well-known brands, this solution enables cross-selling, while also making it simpler to find product information and stockists so that builders can readily find and purchase the right products they need for a job.

For the home owner, the digital solution allows products to be researched and shared with architects and builders so that ideas can quickly be turned into solutions for building projects. The paper scrapbook has been replaced with Pinterest boards, populated by users of CSR’s websites. Those developing a property can quickly identify the right product to use and this can be communicated quickly and easily to everyone involved in the project.

The responsive site, delivered by Object Consulting, also allows builders working on construction projects to use mobile devices to easily find products and then find local stockists so that they can get the products they need to complete a project quickly and easily.

The Digital Innovator Award was awarded to The Royal Automobile Club of Western Australia (RAC WA), a  motoring club and mutual organisation, offering motoring services and advice, insurance, travel services, finance, driver training and exclusive member benefits.  Using Sitecore’s Experience Platform, RAC WA has implemented an industry first multichannel eCommerce solution that closes the loop in membership customer services when roadside assistance is called out to fix a punctured tyre.

RAC Tyres’ http://tyres.rac.com.au <http://tyres.rac.com.au>  cross-channel Sitecore site, delivered by Switch, provides transparent pricing and the convenience of online service to a market which is often confusing to consumers.   RAC WA changes more than 25,000 tyres a year on the roadside to keep its members moving.  Following the deployment of Sitecore, RAC WA can provide a full service starting with an online booking from a mobile tablet device and fulfilled at a service centre convenient to home or workplace.  This creates a permanent solution for members experiencing a punctured tyre while developing relationships with tyre suppliers to maximise the options for members.

The solution also assists with delivering a trusted roadside assistant with tools that can deliver an unexpected and exceptional customer experience that surprises customer with a permanent solution in a time of need. This includes the ability to match the right tyre to the exact vehicle, book the fitting and pay on the spot.  This worldwide industry first solution leverages Sitecore’s mobile and commerce capability to bring an intuitive application that supports member’s satisfaction in unpleasant situation of punctured tyre.

Teachers Mutual Bank https://www.tmbank.com.au <https://www.tmbank.com.au> , one of Australia’s largest mutual banks with over 170,000 members, was awarded The ROI Award following an upgrade in December 2014. Deployed by Sitecore partner, DT, the new platform has provided the organisation with greater functionality to better service members.

The organisation’s vision was for the digital solution to be the primary touchpoint for prospective members, acting as a one-stop shop for key banking needs and to equip members with the online tools they need to self-serve.  Today, the website now has capabilities including being optimised for mobile, which makes up more than 40% of its traffic, the ability to provide ATM locator services, product-specific online application forms and mobile lender locator and enquiry forms.

The Sitecore solution is module specific, enabling individual pages to be more easily customised and created, improving the timeliness of the organisation’s product offerings.  The redevelopment of the website was the first major piece of work within a broader program to re-define the overall digital vision of the organisation while the digital rebuild was focused on meeting the organisational objectives of improving market share, and becoming the first choice bank for teachers and their families.

As a result of upgrading, the Teachers Mutual Bank digital ecosystem is one that now encourages deeper engagement with products; connects community members to each other and the bank; and delivers members and prospects real-time, rich intelligence around their finances.  At the same time, marketers now have the flexibility to create tailored marketing campaign pages using the modular system.
Members are now able to better apply for new financial products and services online, both on desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

“Customer experience starts with the first interaction a consumer has with a brand, through to pre-purchase, purchase, and post-purchase stages, and beyond to long-term customer engagement.  Customers now want to engage with brands at any time, via the device or channel of their choice - online, mobile, or offline - and enjoy an integrated omni-channel experience that recognises who they are. This results in a personalised, relevant, and contextual experience in real time.  We congratulate all this year’s award winners who are testament to the remarkable return on investment which the Sitecore Experience Platform delivers to marketers with the experience that matters most to their customers.  This experience also extends to partners and developers who benefit from using Sitecore’s flexibility and scalability to help marketers, business users, and their customers to deliver rich, engaging experiences,” said Steven Goddard, VP Greater Asia, Sitecore.
