CAMPAIGN LAUNCH AGAINST PREJUDICE

HUNDREDS TAKE TO THE ROADS THIS SUNDAY FOR FREEDOM AND CHARITY RIDE

Hundreds of motorcyclists will ride from The Rocks across Sydney this Sunday 29th November in the UMC NSW Freedom and Charity Ride to launch a campaign against prejudice and to support the Salvation Army Oasis Youth Homeless Service, Bill Crews Exodus Foundation, Mary Mac's Woy Woy and Parramatta Mission. The ride starts from 11am at Hickson Rd, The Rocks , near Barangaroo.

MEDIA PLEASE NOTE. There will be brief remarks at the start of the ride from barrister Wayne Baffsky and Brotherhood CMC’s Greg Pendlebury.

There are over 800,000 registered motorcyclists in Australia including ordinary riders, military, Christian, social and 1% clubs as well as several hundred thousand more in the motorcycling community who are prejudiced against by the current "un-Australian" laws of the land for the way they look.

This Sunday 29th November the UMC (United Motorcycle Council) NSW is launching its Campaign Against Prejudice to bring a change to the draconian laws and regulations that are affecting the way over one million people are treated wrongly in Australia.

" Tyranny is not far away when governments criminalise people because of appearance or association " says barrister Wayne Baffsky on behalf of the UMC NSW.

Greg Pendlebury of the Brotherhood CMC ( Christian Motorcycle Club) says " 1%, social, Christian, military clubs, ordinary riders are being kept out of pubss and clubs because of how the look, not because of bad behaviour".

Motorcyclists and public are welcome to bring toys, blankets and tinned food from 9am. Ride starts at 11am. There will be brief remarks from Wayne Baffsky and Salvation Army Major Paul Moulds.
