Adroit Insurance Group raises $90,000 for Geelong community at 14th Annual Charity Golf Day

Adroit Insurance Group hosted their 14th Annual Charity Golf Day at 13th Beach Golf Links in Barwon Heads on 19 November, raising $90,000 for St Laurence Community Services and the Geelong Community Foundation.
Of the $90,000 raised, $11,000 was donated to St Laurence Community Services to help fund their Sensory Garden project. This project converted a large north facing area which could not be used into an outdoor garden space that is safe, accessible, inclusive, educational and therapeutic. The remaining $79,000 will go to the Geelong Community Foundation who will distribute to other worthwhile community projects.
Adroit not only bettered its 2014 contribution of $86,000 but broke the event day record, cementing the event’s reputation as a major fundraising date for the Geelong community. Adroit Insurance Group Managing Director Andrew Locke was extremely pleased with the outcome, thanking the businesses and organisations who sponsored and supported the day for donating so generously.
“The benefits from the funds we raised today are far-reaching, thanks to the great work St Laurence and the Geelong Community Foundation do,” said Mr Locke. “It’s amazing to see so many businesses and organisations supporting our community by giving generously and, in turn, allowing St Laurence and the Foundation to do what they do best”
Besides generously contributing funds for the local community, participants had a great day out on the course. 44 teams played over the two courses, with the NTI team taking out top honours on the day and winning the Meatball Cup.
The event was closed out with a celebratory seafood dinner, MCed by AFL personality Garry Lyon.
