Award Builds on Recent KLAS Reports Recognising Leading Performance of Electronic Medical Record Solutions in Asia/Oceania

SYDNEY, Aust. – February 8, 2016 – InterSystems, a global leader in health information technology, today announced that research and insights firm KLAS has honoured the InterSystems TrakCare® unified healthcare information system with the prestigious 2015/2016 Category Leader award for Global Acute EMR – Asia/Oceania.

InterSystems TrakCare was also honoured with the 2015/2016 Best in KLAS award for Global (Non-U.S.) Acute EMR, based on rankings of electronic medical record (EMR) solutions by healthcare providers around the world. TrakCare gained a global performance score of 76.0, the highest of any vendor in this segment.

In the Asia/Oceania region, KLAS scored TrakCare even higher, at 77.2. The scores measured healthcare providers’ satisfaction with vendors’ sales, contracting, implementation, and support, as well as their solutions’ quality, functionality, fit with requirements, ease of use, performance, and interoperability.

TrakCare received above average performance ratings in Asia/Oceania in most categories, including overall product quality, delivery of new technology, ease of use, product response time, and support for integration goals.

KLAS recently recognised InterSystems as one of the leading health IT vendors in Asia/Oceania. In its “Global HIT Trends 2015: Which Vendors Are Providers Betting On?” report, published in December 2015, KLAS stated that, “The region has a large mix of private healthcare groups and public hospitals. To date, InterSystems has traditionally been the vendor of choice for private healthcare groups.”

In the “Global EMR Market Share: Energy Increases Rapidly Outside the U.S. in 2014” report, published in August 2015, InterSystems TrakCare had the highest number of validated customers in Asia of vendors surveyed by KLAS, with 85 hospitals. InterSystems also had 47 customers in Oceania, which includes Australia and New Zealand.

In the “Global EMR Performance 2015: Regional Performance Examined” report, published in November 2015, KLAS reported on its interactions with InterSystems customers in the Asia/Oceania region. One CIO told KLAS, “TrakCare EPR allows me to operate a world-class, first-rate HIS in a cost-effective way. I really would like to see us be able to use InterSystems to get a single, integrated system. The InterSystems user conference is very impressive. It is educational and helpful. . . . We can really feel that InterSystems wants their customers to achieve success.”
