SENGLED REVS UP FOR V8 SUPERCAR SEASON AS NISSAN MOTORSPORT PARTNER

Announcement posted by Greta Donaldson Publicity 29 Feb 2016

Two global innovators, Nissan Motorsport and SENGLED AUSTRALIA, have teamed up for the 2016 V8 Supercar season, which launches with the Clipsal 500 Adelaide on March 3-6.

SENGLED AUSTRALIA has partnered with Nissan Motorsport as the naming rights partner of the #15 Sengled Nissan Altima V8 Supercar driven by dual Bathurst winner Rick Kelly.

Co-owned by lead driver Rick and his brother, Todd Kelly, Nissan Motorsport is Nissan’s official V8 Supercar team and competes with four state-of-the-art Nissan Altima V8 Supercars.

The team manages all aspects of design, development, production and operation of its race cars.

“Our team encompasses 20 departments and almost 60 full-time staff,” Rick Kelly said.

“Innovation and technical development are the backbone of our business and sport so we are very excited to join forces with SENGLED AUSTRALIA, another local business that is passionate about innovation and is pushing the boundaries on research and development to drive success in its field.”

Innovation forms the backbone of the success of young Australian entrepreneur David Clerk, who has revolutionised light bulb technology by packing the humble bulb with technology designed to improve quality of life, sustainability and safety.

In a joint venture with Chinese LED manufacturing company SENGLED, Clerk has developed a range of app-controlled, intuitive, eco-friendly products that reduce clutter and expand smart home capabilities.

The innovative range includes Pulse, Pulse Solo, Boost, Snap and Element, one of several exciting products to be

launched in Australia this year.

Pulse is a smart bulb that combines a dimmable LED light with a 13-watt JBL Bluetooth speaker, and fits any standard light socket. Lighting and sound can be adjusted from the product’s iOS/Android app. Pulse comes as a “starter pack”, with one master and one satellite bulb, and can be linked to up to six additional satellite bulbs for surround sound.

Pulse Solo works like Pulse, but functions independently (without the need for satellite bulbs) - making it ideal for desk lights or lamps. Pulse Solo combines dual 3-watt speakers for stereo-sound effect.

Boost is a dimmable LED light that increases existing Wi-Fi range by up to 30m by connecting to your home router/gateway. Boost puts an end to so-called internet “dead zones”.

The award-winning Snap, is a ground-breaking outdoor LED light with an inbuilt infrared HD 1080p camera, speaker and microphone, which combines safety and security with an energy efficiency LED light. It enables people to see what is happening in real-time outside their homes through an app on their smartphone or tablet or they can retrieve the scenes recorded in the cloud.

“We are very excited to confirm the partnership with Nissan Motorsport and we look forward to watching Rick race in the #15 SENGLED Nissan Altima livery,” Mr Clerk said.

“It is particularly exciting to know we can support another great Australian innovator as he races towards further success.”

The Sengled range is available online at www.sengled.com.au and from Harvey Norman stores nationally.
