Author Arthur Bozikas should have died 30 years ago, instead he has written his first instalment of an Aussie James Bond style thriller called Black Ops Zulu: Pivotal Velocity , where he wants to promote not only his novel, but also draw attention to the Red Cross Blood Service and blood donations as a way to say thank you for keeping him alive! Arthur was born 55 years ago with a rare genetic blood disorder called beta thalassaemia major, and was not expected to live past 20. He continues to defy and amaze doctors by outliving the odds, and he remains one of only a few oldest survivors . Each month he spends half a day receiving blood transfusions at RPA so he wants to draw attention not only to his book but also to the need for blood donors to come forward and support the Red Cross Blood Service in its drive for new blood donors for Easter.
