The idea for Exsalerate began in 2010 when Urgent Couriers went looking for a CRM system to replace what founder, Steve Bonnici describes as ‘add-ons to a database masquerading as a CRM system’. That need was driven by expansion of the sales team and the urge to boost their effectiveness on the road by providing a mobile CRM tool. Bonnici looked around for such a tool, but found complexity and high costs everywhere.

Development of what was to become exsalerate.com began. “It has to be the sales rep’s best friend,” Bonnici says. “The reason CRMs fail is because sales people hate them.” Exsalerate’s software can be used by any business but starting by selling to other couriers made sense because it was a business his team knew, Bonnici says. In May exsalerate.com became an accredited Xero add-on partner, allowing it to coat-tail into Xero’s large and growing customer base. Xero integration is easy and makes life simpler for customers, who can immediately input customers from Xero and upload sales into the system as well. Becoming an add-on partner takes just six to eight weeks, Bonnici says. Exsalerate is also integrated with WorkflowMax

The Exsalerate team have the answers to FAQ’s of new users, including, “How long does it take to set up my Exsalerate site?”

“This depends on the size of your organisation, we estimate for a medium sized business with five users setup will take about three hours. We recommend an expert sets up your site to ensure you’re getting the most out of Exsalerate, we offer setup packages to assist with implementation.

Similarly, “I like your product but I don't have time to set it up, do you have anyone that can do this for me?”

“We have a team of implementation specialists who can setup your Exsalerate account for you.”

And, “How do I connect to Xero and import all of my sales data?”

“We have a great video that explains the process, if you still need help please send us an email,” or

“If I add or update a contact to Xero will it update in Exsalerate automatically?”

“Click on ‘Import Xero Customers’ to update your customer list, only new customers will be added to your Exsalerate account.”

Finally, “How do I connect to WorkFlow Max?”

“Firstly you will need to contact the WorkFlow Max support centre and request your Account Code. Once you have connected Exsalerate to WorkflowMax you can add a job to WorkflowMax from Exsalerate, you can also view quotes that you have created in WorkflowMax.”
