BlockZ – The Most Addictive Puzzle Game on the Play Store

Announcement posted by The Mascoteers 19 Apr 2016

BlockZ is one of those games launched by The Mascoteers to cater for both casual and hardcore gamers that love to pick up and play a game anywhere and anytime.

Once in a while there comes along a game that rises above the rest to achieve cult status amongst gamers for its simple graphics, solid game engine and truly addictive game play.  BlockZ is a fast-paced action puzzle game that relies on quick reaction times and crazy speed in shape recognition in order to achieve the highest possible score. Blocks are matched on screen with a few simple taps and swipe motion in order to lock the matching blocks into place and move on to the next one. Each shape-recognition takes place under a strict time limit, and requires a number of different problem solving skills in order to get a truly high score.

One a player has recognised the shape needed at the bottom of the screen, they must match up that shape using the shapes at the top of the screen. Tapping the screen rotates the shape options available until a matching shape is selected. The player must then swipe down the screen in order to lock the shape into place into the bottom block, completing that shape and earning a point before moving onto the next shape in the never-ending world of BlockZ!

Quick reactions times are needed in order to quickly tap on screen in order to rotate through the different available shapes and stop of the correct on in order to lock it into place in the block at the bottom of the screen. Just a single tap too many will force a player into tapping through the rest of the shape rotation in order to select the correct one again.

Shape recognition is needed in order to quickly see the shape required by the block at the bottom of the screen, as well as match the shape at the top of the screen in order to lock it into place. Be careful though, as although a player may match up a shape to another, the colour may be different and will make it impossible to complete the block in order to progress.

Deep concentration is needed in order to focus on the particular task at hand in order to progress in the game. BlockZ loves to put players off by introducing ghost shapes into the mix, allowing players to be distracted at any given moment. Nerve is needed in order to keep going past the highest score in order to achieve global leaderboard status.

BlockZ features full Google Play Games integration in order to share new high scores and see how a player’s friends and family are shaping up compared to them. Leader boards and achievements give BlockZ great replay value, and with a dedicated like, share and invite option for Facebook, makes competing with friends easier than ever.

BlockZ also ships with an additional 20 language options, a simple and quick tutorial mode, as well as a number of in-app purchases allow BlockZ a level of depth many other pick-up and play arcade games lack.

BlockZ is available now for free on the Google Play Store for the latest devices on the Android platform.
