Acronis, a global data protection company, expressed its interest in sponsoring Toro Rosso and Daniil Kvyat in particular.

Russian-born Singaporean businessman Serguei Beloussov, CEO of Acronis, announced the sponsorship intentions late last week both from financial and technological perspective under condition that both Daniil Kvyat and Franz Tost are staying at Toro Rosso.

"We have a long-standing relationship with Daniil Kvyat and have discussed possible partnership arrangements with Toro Rosso even before Daniil started racing for Red Bull. We also have great respect for the head of Toro Rosso, Franz Tost, and their vision for the team. We subscribe to the philosophy of Formula 1 and most importantly, we share Formula 1's philosophy that success is achieved by a collective effort of many people".

“I am not a Formula 1 expert, however, I sense Daniil will feel more comfortable in Toro Rosso. Toro Rosso is hungry for pure racing, and we believe in their success as well as in Daniil himself.”
