SYDNEY, Australia– May 24, 2016 – Kingston, the independent world leader in memory products, today announced the Australian availability of its new UV400 SSD. The “ultra value” UV400 SSD allows fast boot times, application loading and file transfers for mainstream users at a great price point. UV400 is powered by a four-channel controller for incredible speeds of up to 550MB/s read and 500MB/s write, and is 10x faster than a 7200RPM hard-disk drive (HDD)1.

UV400 is rugged and more durable than a mechanical hard drive as it is shock and vibration resistant making it more reliable for use in notebooks and other mobile computing devices. It is available as a stand-alone drive or as a bundle kit with all the accessories needed (2.5" USB enclosure for notebooks and 3.5" adapter for desktop, SATA cable and Acronis5 data migration software download coupon) for easy do-it-yourself installation. UV400 comes in 120GB, 240GB, 480GB and 960GB (shipping soon).

“We are proud to bring UV400 to market allowing users of all levels to replace their current mechanical hard drives with an SSD and see the benefits of higher performance,” said Nathan Su, Flash Memory Sales Director, APAC Region, Kingston®. “The combination of a powerful four-channel controller and TLC NAND makes UV400 perfect for consumers who want to upgrade their existing system at an entry-level price.”

UV400 is backed by a limited three-year warranty and legendary Kingston support. For more information visit www.kingston.com.

This SSD is designed for use in desktop and notebook computer workloads, and is not intended for Server environments.
1 Based on "out-of-box performance" using a SATA Rev. 3.0 motherboard. Speed may vary due to host
hardware, software, and usage. IOMETER Random 4k Random Read/Write is based on 8GB partition.
2 Some of the listed capacity on a Flash storage device is used for formatting and other functions and

what is listed on the products. For more information, go to Kingston’s Flash memory Guide at
kingston.com/flashguide.
3 Limited warranty based on 3 years or SSD “Life Remaining” which can be found using the Kingston SSD Manager (kingston.com/SSDManager). See kingston.com/wa for details.
4 Total Bytes Written (TBW) is derived from the JEDEC Client Workload (JESD219A).
