Fujitsu Australia strengthens Fujitsu Consulting Business Group

Fujitsu Australia Limited has appointed Martin North as General Manager of Fujitsu Consulting, a strengthened business for the company in Australia and New Zealand formed through the combination of Fujitsus Strategic Consulting Unit and Management Consulting groups.
The enhanced Fujitsu Consulting structure will come into effect on 1 April 2005.
Fujitsu Consulting is responsible for driving significant revenue for the company in Australia and NZ. It is a critical differentiator for Fujitsu and Fujitsu consultants are increasingly in demand as an integral component of Fujitsus end-to-end business and ICT solutions for its customers.
Organisations that employ Fujitsus consulting services include the Australian Taxation Office, Centrelink, Baycorp Advantage, Macquarie Bank, and St.George Bank.
Fujitsu will continue to build a strong, unified and growing consulting capability, said Mr Rod Vawdrey, Chief Executive Officer, Fujitsu Australia.
Fujitsu Consulting is a comprehensive team of consultants with a greater ability to pool intellectual property and experience. It will help deliver more value for our clients by linking their business strategy and change agenda to enabling technologies, he added.
Fujitsu Consulting will have a number of capability areas including Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Value Management, Business Transformation, IT Effectiveness and Enterprise Security.
North previously held the position of Fujitsus General Manager, Strategic Consulting. Prior to joining the company, he gained 12 years experience in the consulting industry with Booz Allen, Andersen Consulting and CSC Index. During this time he worked on a range of IT and business related assignments in financial services, health, travel, retail, utilities and telecommunications in Australia, Asia, Europe and the United States.
Martin also has 12 years experience in the financial services industry with companies including Citibank and NatWest (UK). He speaks regularly on issues including credit card reform, mortgage industry dynamics and retail banking branch design.
