Bright future lays ahead for Kyocera Mita

Announcement posted by Kyocera 28 Aug 2001

David Finn, Managing Director of leading document management company Kyocera Mita Australia says a bright future lays ahead for the company over the next twelve months. With an increasing share of the laser printer market, and sales up on last year, expansion rather than cut backs is on the minds of management.

We are now almost twelve months on since the acquisition of Mita by Kyocera and things are looking good. Whilst others in the IT industry are laying off staff and even closing down their Australian operations, we are looking to put on new sales staff in various cities and open offices in additional states, said Mr Finn.

The most recent state to be targeted by Kyocera Mita is South Australia. There is great potential in South Australia and as such, we are planning on opening a new office in Adelaide within the next few months.

We have also recently moved into new offices in Victoria and have just employed two additional sales people, said Mr Finn.

Eight new Kyocera Mita products will be launched by the end of the year, making it the most aggressive year on record. The new products will show a true convergence of the copier and printer markets. This will provide an exciting opportunity for the channel who will be able to make greater profits through increased margins on our new digital copier/printers. Its going to be a very exciting year for us all, concluded Mr Finn.
