Around the Country with New Zealand Van Lines

Announcement posted by New Zealand Van Lines Ltd 17 Jun 2016

We’re travelling far and wide, with two of our major arts organisations on tour with New Zealand Van Lines.

Two of our highly valued customers, the Royal New Zealand Ballet and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra are very active at present, with the Ballet Company touring their world premiere production of “Wizard of Oz”, and the NZSO being as peripatetic as ever!

The Wizard of Oz opened its season in Wellington on May 4 to packed houses and rapturous audiences, and the Ballet Company then set off on their tour of New Zealand, taking in nine towns and cities, including of course Auckland, where our Auckland movers team will be assisting in unloading lights, costumes and scenery from three large trucks into the ASB theatre in the Aotea Centre. So if you’re planning on following the yellow brick road to see this exciting production you’ll have to head for Auckland, as the show has sold out in all other venues!

Meantime the NZSO continues to bring its fine musicians, world-famous conductors and soloists, plus its repertoire of classical music – old and new – to audiences throughout the country.

Apart from its home base in Wellington, the city most visited by the NZSO is of course Auckland. Our specially designed temperature-controlled vehicle arrives at the performance venue in plenty of time to allow placement of music stands, rostra, chairs and musical instruments in pre-specified locations. The driver is assisted in this process by four members of our Auckland movers staff, who then return at the end of the concert to help re-load the truck ready for its next destination.

New Zealand Van Lines is proud to have been the sole transport provider for both the Royal New Zealand Ballet and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra since 1986, and provides both organisations with sponsorship, reflecting the high value we place on their contribution to the arts in New Zealand.
