One10 announces its first CEO, a young female to lead expansion.

Australia’s national social enterprise accelerator, One10, is proud to appoint its first CEO, Veronica Munro, a young female entrepreneur who has been on this journey with One10’s founder and impact investor, Geoff Gourley, from the start. Since launching in December 2015, Ms Munro has been building and leading the team at One10 with a focus on enabling them to learn quickly, grow exponentially, and take ownership of their roles. Ms. Munro’s background is in B Corporations, the movement that certifies for-profit companies that meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

Veronica has been tasked with expanding the company into regional Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland. Earlier this month One10 announced the opening of its second office in Sydney with a launch party to match the business’s style: down to earth with a diverse range of people from all sectors ready to impact the world. 

“Since we launched six months ago, we’ve received requests from all over Australia to expand into new states and even into regional areas. Now we’re looking at expanding into regional Victoria and then Queensland,” said Veronica. “Our ultimate vision is to take One10 global, especially into South East Asia, and be the accelerator and launch hub for purpose-driven business across Asia Pacific.”

Geoff Gourley, One10’s founder, could not be more excited about this appointment. “I see the drive and tenacity that Veronica has and by appointing her as CEO I hope to enable her full potential as an authentic leader,” said Mr. Gourley who has a long track record of supporting female entrepreneurs. He is currently a global ambassador for Jo Burston’s Rare Birds and a founding member of #PanelPledge. 

“Geoff is a genuine supporter of gender equality and a big advocate for diversity. He’s been a pivotal mentor of mine and I wish everyone had a champion like him to support them. We need more men like him in the world,” said Veronica Munro. 

It's an exciting time at One10, since launching in December 2015, the organisation has made 4 investments, employed nine staff in Victoria, one in Sydney, seven of which are female, and commenced working with 35 clients and accelerator participants that include Health Delivered and Promise or Pay.

  

One10 has had a great track record of collaborating with other enterprises in the space and secured key partnerships with Ernst & Young (EY), Bank Australia, GPT and Clearpoint Counsel. These partnerships are critical to expanding the ecosystem and Veronica’s new role will be to continue to bring aboard a diverse set of large corporates and not for profits that bring value to One10’s clients and vice versa.
