Announcement posted by Learner Drivers 29 May 2017

Driving lessons aren’t cheap but are essential if you want to learn to drive and pass your test.

Driving lessons are important you get the most out of your lesson to reduce the amount of lessons you need to get your driver’s license. The team at Learner Drivers have professional and experienced instructors that will get you on the road in Sydney. Here’s how to get the most out of your driving lessons.

Opt for a Time That Suits You

When are you most alert and ready to learn? Choose a time slot that works for you. It’s pointless getting a morning appointment if you’re not a morning person. The same goes for if you are tired in the afternoons or evenings. You want to make sure you are on time so you can utilise the whole of the lesson time. Losing ten to fifteen minutes every lesson soon adds up, so make sure you are ready to go.

Wear Comfortable Clothing

Think about what you’re going to wear for the lesson. Loose and comfortable clothing is your best bet. Steer clear of heels and the like, you may wish to wear thongs so that you can easily take them off to drive. Sunglasses are good to have on hand if there is a glare. Keep hair of your face to avoid any distraction and give you the best clear view of the road. Remove any jewellery that jangles around or could distract you in any way.

Be Prepared

So that you can jump straight into your lesson make sure you are prepared to prevent any delays. You must carry your learner’s license when driving so make sure you have this with you. Your instructor should check for this prior to commencing the lesson. If you need to fill out a logbook then make sure you bring it. If you haven’t already paid, have the correct cash with you. Also turn off your mobile phone for the duration of the lesson.

Be a Good Student

Be willing to learn from your instructor. A common problem is that students have learnt one way from their parents and are then unwilling to try it the instructors way. The instructor wants to get you to pass the test and drive well so it’s important that you follow their instructions over anyone else’s. After all you are paying for their expertise so the sooner you follow their methods, the quicker you can get in to book your test.

Practise What You’ve Learnt

In between lessons you should be getting in as much supervised practise as possible. Try and vary your driving experiences by driving at different times of the day and exposing yourself to different weather conditions. Implement everything you’ve learnt from your instructor to get into good habits.

You can get the most out of your driving lessons by selecting a suitable time, wearing appropriate clothing and being prepared. Be open to learning the methods the instructor will be teaching and get as much practise in as possible. Learner Drivers know their stuff and will give you the best possible chance of passing your test in Sydney.
