Aussie Businessman Sofa Giveaway For Trump Escapees Down Under

Announcement posted by The Audacious Agency 03 Aug 2016

Jason Tan owns a Brisbane based furniture business. He normally keeps out of politics but he has been gobsmacked by the media around Donald Trump.

He knows many Americans will not be happy if Trump wins.  So he has started a campaign to share with people from the States about how awesome Australia is.

"If Donald Trump become the US’s 45th president many people will be upset. If they want to make a quick giveaway to avoid US Trumpification, my furniture company Jason Agustina will make life a little easier by giving you a sofa if they move to Australia," he said.

"I think people are scared of Trump because as a country, especially being the most powerful country in the world, it should be run a statesman who has integrity and sanity that can govern with the best interest of her country at heart.

“The result of the US presidential election will not only impact US but the rest of the world but more importantly our children and grandchildren in coming future."

Jason knows Australian politics is not flawless. "We have Pauline Hanson. We shall leave it to the public and history to decide if our politics is any better."

He wants them to know Australia is an option for them if Trump wins and they do not want to live in a country governed by him.

"Australia is the best country in the world - we have the best beaches, best lifestyle, best food and the sexiest accent," Jason said.

"Let's not forget our cultural diversity - how very un-trumpian. More than 26% of Aussies were born overseas and another 20% have a foreign-born parent. That’s 46% who are first or second generation citizens."

So ... he is giving away 50 sofas to anyone who moves here from the States. Each sofa is worth up to $1,599. They do have to spend $500 and lodged a valid application for Australian citizenship with the Australian Department of Immigration, and produce proof of application.

"Giving away a soft is not enough for someone to come to Australia but we want people to know Australia as a country has a similar culture and background. At  Jason Agustina, we are just trying to help settling into a new home," Jason said.
