Sydney, Australia – 10 August 2016. Brother has revealed its fastest, high-resolution P-touch label printer range – made for business.

Twice as fast as competitor products, the new PT-P900W and PT-P950NW label printers boast print speeds of 60mm per second, and also the largest width tape compatibility in the P-touch range - at 36mm wide. A 32mm print height gives near edge-to-edge printing too.

Specialists in advanced
labelling solutions for the office, retail, catering, healthcare and facilities managements sectors, Brother has developed these new models to be super-connective.  Both have USB and WiFi connectivity as standard, while the PT-P950NW additionally offers wired networking and optional Bluetooth connectivity to allow multiple PCs, rugged PDA’s and tablets to print labels from the free P-touch Editor label design software.

These models can be used away from a power source thanks to the optional rechargeable lithium battery. The PT-P950NW also has the choice of a touch panel display to print
personalised labels (including the current or future date and time) on demand, without requiring the use of a PC.

These new models print durable
TZe laminated labels, which have been tested to the extreme against the effects of temperature, chemicals, abrasion, sunlight and water.

The PT-P900W and PT-P950NW models (which replace the PT-9700PC and PT-9800PCN models) can also be used with the Brother iPrint&Label app to design and print labels from your smartphone or tablet. For professional trades, the Mobile Cable Label Tool app has been developed specifically to create labels for telecom,
datacom and electrical installations. It includes an extensive cloud-based hub of up-to-date design templates and electrical symbols, to ensure efficient on-demand labelling while “on the job”.

Michael Morales, Product Manager,
L&M and S&S, said: “Connectivity is essential in today’s working environments, and compatibility with smartphones and tablets provides added flexibility, so new label designs can easily be printed whenever and wherever a label is needed.”

Options such as the Touch Panel Display Unit offers single touch label printing without the need for a PC for ease of
use, and includes a built-in clock that will, for example, make it easy to put ‘best before’ date labels on food products or ‘printed on’ date or time.  Automatic tape detection allows a true preview to be shown on screen, and there is also an easy label peel feature to further enhance productivity.

On sale from August 2016, the Brother PT-P900W and PT-P950NW label printers are priced between $699 to $899. Optional batteries and Touch Panel display sold separately.
