Snowden and Microsoft form strategic partnership

Snowden is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Microsoft to drive cloud-first solutions to the mining industry. With an agreed strategy to make cloud technologies relevant to mining, both parties are working closely to develop and market Snowden’s new cloud platform.

Due for launch later this year, the new platform will deliver rich end-to-end capability from data import and storage through to the application of advanced analytics, machine learning and visualisation.

The platform is built on the latest services provided by Microsoft’s cutting edge cloud platform Azure. Snowden’s platform enables the rapid implementation of Internet of Things solutions, ingesting data from devices and traditional data sources alike, extracting valuable insights and presenting those insights through powerful visualisations.

It also delivers high-tech cloud-based applications which leverage the depth of technical mining knowledge in the Snowden team and partners it with the power of scalable cloud computing to provide solutions to complex problems that can be run on a PC, tablet, or even a smartphone.

Providing this level of highly configurable data mining, without the need to install additional software, places Snowden at the forefront in effectively applying this technology to the mining industry.
