Sydney based technology start up ASAP has officially opened their second round of seed funding after oversubscribing their first round. ASAP has been in R&D and Beta for the past year, servicing 10,000 Sydney based customers through their SMS service and will officially launch their much anticipated app in mid September. The service is known for their pitch on Channel 10’s Shark Tank, where the team delivered Glen Richards a dog toy from his Pet Barn store in 33 minutes despite the sharks saying it couldn’t be done in under 60 minutes.

The product is an m-commerce app which gets users anything they want delivered in minutes. ASAP is different from apps like Uber Eats and Deliveroo because it is not limited to partnered restaurants, ASAP uses its network of on demand shoppers to pick up and purchase anything requested by the user, this means ASAP can list any store on its app from JB Hi-Fi to Priceline to KFC and almost everything else you can think of. Initial launch is to the Sydney CBD +10km and the service will be available from 10am to 10pm 7 days a week.

CEO, Dylan Samra closed the first seed round earlier this year with an oversubscribed round by local Angel Investors. The team have just opened a second seed raise to expand Nationally into Melbourne and Brisbane, the funds will cover customer acquisition and operational costs up until their Series A Raise slated to begin in Q1, 2017. “Investors are contributing not only for a return, but to be apart of the ASAP story and that’s pretty powerful” - Dylan Samra.
