CLOUDSEC Australia 2016 empowers organisations to take control in the battle against cybercrime

SYDNEY, 30 August 2016 CLOUDSEC, the leading internet security conference in Asia Pacific and Europe, will be held in Australia for the first time, kicking off in Sydney on 1 September.

Hosted by Trend Micro and featuring major sponsors such as AWS, Microsoft and VMware, Australia’s inaugural CLOUDSEC 2016 will gather renowned experts and industry thought leaders from across the globe to empower organisations to ‘take control’ in the battle against cybercrime. The security industry will meet to address prevailing trends in the cyber threat landscape and equip organisations with actionable insights and technical know-how to improve information security and risk management.

Big data, cloud computing, mobility and Internet of Things have met with unprecedented level of sophistication in cyber threats. Data breaches, ransomware and online extortion have emerged as the new risk factors threatening the well-being of enterprises today. Gartner has predicted that by 2020, 60 percent of digital businesses will suffer major service failures due to the inability of IT security teams to manage digital
