Maritime Marketplace now Sold Out

Announcement posted by MarineDirectory.net 01 Sep 2016

65 Marine Companies to Exhibit at AWBF 2017
The popular Maritime Marketplace at the MyState Australian Wooden Boat Festival in Hobart is fully subscribed for 2017, with all display spaces now booked.

65 marine companies from Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia have registered to display, a record for the festival marketplace.

"The range of quality marine products and services on display is comprehensive and covers the full range of recreational boating requirements", said Tim Oxley, Commercial Sales Manager for the festival. "Not only can visitors see the latest products in marine paint, propellers, electronics, deck gear, engines and much more, they can discuss their boating needs with supplier principals and boating experts."

Many festival visitors are boat owners and always include the Maritime Marketplace when visiting the festival, to be held next in Febraury 2017.

The MyState Australian Wooden Boat Festival started in 1994 and has grown into the largest wooden boat festival in the southern hemisphere. Over 550 wooden boats will fill the Port of Hobart, and over 200,000 visitors will enjoy the sights, entertainment as well as local gourmet food and beverages.

The Maritime Marketplace is held in Princes Wharf Number 1 Shed, a fully refurbished former storage facility which now plays host to the Taste of Tasmania and many other festivals and large displays. Despite being over 110 metres long and 30 metres wide, the shed is no longer big enough for the Maritime Marketplace and some displays are elsewhere in the festival.

Over 80 wooden boats are registered to sail to Tasmania for the festival in 2017. Many stay on for post festival activities, and are attracted to the great sailing locations and marine facilities in Tasmania.

"The Maritime Marketplace has become an important feature of the Tasmanian recreational marine industry', said Mr Oxley.
