CreateAbility, it’s a game changer

CreateAbility showcases creative abilities and will be held throughout Queensland in Brisbane at Eight Mile Plains, Nudgee and also in Rockhampton.

Disability Action Week is held in September each year, and aims to empower people with disability, raise awareness, and improve access and inclusion throughout the wider community. This year, Disability Action Week will be held from 11 – 17 September with the theme ‘Inclusion: it’s a game changer’.

Multicap’s Centre of Creative Arts (CoCA) and BuildAbles will exhibit during Disability Action Week. The events will celebrate the diverse range of opportunities available for artistic expression that Multicap makes available to people with disability. At Multicap we are champions of possibility.

Multicap encourages everyone to take part in Disability Action Week 2016 by attending one of our CreateAbility Showcase venues. 

Multicap CEO Joanne Jessop says, “We are thrilled to receive a Disability Action Week grant for our CreateAbility Showcase. Community grant funding is very important for us, and without it, we would not be able to host a diverse range of events that showcase the abilities of our clients and artists.

“CreateAbiltiy will highlight the importance of creating opportunities for people with disability to get involved in social and economic activities”, said Ms Jessop. “We are now focussed on attracting visitors to CreateAbility.”

CreateAbility provides vital opportunities for people with disability to express themselves, demonstrate their artistic talents and connect with others.
