6 September, 2016: Skip’s online coffee ordering service is now available to customers travelling through the Qantas Clubs and Business Lounges at Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra and Perth domestic airports.

The Skip app offers Qantas customers a quick and easy way to pre-order their complimentary coffee before or during their time in Qantas Clubs and Business Lounges at Qantas’ domestic airports.

Qantas customers are able to order their favourite coffee using Skip and their barista-made coffee will be waiting for them to enjoy, all with the convenience of never having to queue. As an added bonus, customers can also select the time they want to collect their coffee via the app.
Skip General Manager, Bill Bizos, said, “We know that many travellers transiting through a Qantas Club or Business Lounge are looking for both convenience and caffeine, and this innovative new service offers both.

“Whether you’re on your way to the airport and want to grab a coffee on the go before your flight, or you’d prefer to sit back, relax and enjoy all that the Qantas lounge has to offer, queueing up for your coffee will be a thing of the past with Skip,” said Mr Bizos.

“We’re delighted to have been selected by Qantas to roll out our service across its Qantas Clubs and Business Lounges. It’s another great win for our growing business.”

Qantas Head of Customer Product & Service Development Philip Capps said, “We know our customers are very partial to a good coffee with half a million cups served in the Qantas Clubs and domestic Business Lounges every month, and this new service will provide another level of convenience for those on the go,” said Mr Capps.

In the Qantas Clubs alone, baristas brew over 1,000 cups of tea and coffee every day. In an average week the Sydney Qantas Club sees the biggest demand for coffee, with 6am to 7am being the peak demand time. The most popular coffee order in the lounges differs by city, with Sydney customers preferring a flat white and those in Melbourne loving their lattes.

Touchscreen kiosks are located throughout the lounges for customers who are yet to download the Skip app to order their favourite coffee, before conveniently collecting it from the barista.

Skip can be downloaded for free with iOS or Android smartphone or tablet.

Qantas Clubs and Business Lounges are located in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Perth domestic airports, as well as a Qantas Club in Adelaide.

Skip can also be used outside of Qantas Clubs and Business Lounges in more than 800 participating cafes and bars across Australia. With over 60,000 registered users, Skip has processed over 600,000 orders, with more than 3,000 now processed each day. Find your nearest Skip venue in the app.
