CyberGym® appoints Dr Geoff Raby as Chairman

 


Tel-Aviv, Israel, 21 September 2016: CyberGym®, one of the global leaders in cyber security and defence solutions for government, infrastructure, finance and other organisations, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Geoff Raby as non-Executive Chairman of the Board.

 

Dr Raby holds several non-executive, independent director positions with high-profile Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) listed companies including Fortescue Metals Group, OceanaGold, Yancoal and iSentia.  Previously he was Chairman of ASX-listed fintech company SmartTrans.

 

Commenting on Dr Raby’s appointment as non-Executive Chairman, CyberGym® founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ofir Hason, said Dr Raby has forged a long and distinguished career in foreign affairs and was extremely well qualified to join a company with international growth ambitions, with a strong focus on Asia.

 

“Geoff has excellent credentials, valuable public and private sector experience at the most senior-levels, strong international relationships and is highly regarded in the business community.  As CyberGym builds for its next phase of growth, we wanted an experienced company Director to join the Board to support our aggressive international growth plans.  Geoff has an impressive track record of steering companies to great success and we are delighted to welcome him to this new role,” said Mr Hason.

Dr Raby was formerly Australia’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China from 2007 to 2011.  Prior to that he was a Deputy Secretary in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

 

Dr Raby has extensive experience in international affairs and trade, having been Australia’s Ambassador to the World Trade Organisation (1998-2001), Australia’s APEC Ambassador (2003-2005), Head of DFAT’s Office of Trade Negotiations and Head of Trade Policy Issues Division at the OECD, Paris.

 

Dr Raby is a member of the not-for-profit Advance Global Advisory Board, University of Sydney’s China Studies Centre Advisory Board, La Trobe University Asia Advisory Board, and the Foundation of the National Gallery of Victoria.
