26 September 2016 - Brisbane.

SponsoredLinX CEO, Ben Bradshaw, has outshone hundreds of entrants to secure a place in the final round of the prestigious Lord Mayor Business Awards.

Announced last week by Brisbane Marketing, Mr Bradshaw is  one of five finalists in the running for the renowned ‘Channel 7 Business Person of the Year’ award. Now in its 11th year, the award recognises individuals with ‘an unrelenting pursuit of excellence in business,’ along with those who have contributed positively to the Brisbane business community.

Mr Bradshaw, who is the Founder of Australia’s largest leading digital marketing company SponsoredLinX, says he is thrilled to have been selected.

"Getting the call to say I'd been selected as a finalist was an amazing moment. Having worked so hard to build my business to where it is today, and as someone who is so passionate about the Brisbane business community, it was great to be recognised for such an incredible award.

“It's very exciting, and I'm really looking forward to joining with the other finalists in October,” Mr Bradshaw said.

Since starting his company 10 years ago, Mr Bradshaw has built SponsoredLinX into an award-winning, multi-million dollar empire; providing advanced digital marketing solutions to thousands of businesses across Oceania. Top clients include the likes of Ray White, Mr Toys Toyworld, Chubb Technologies and the McGrath Foundation.

Other entrants vying for the winning title include Mr Andrew Gourley (Red Frogs Founder and Director), Mr Godfrey Mantle (Mantle Group Managing Director), Ms Jess Huddart (Josephmark CEO/Digital Entrepreneur), and Mr Joe Andon (Vuly Trampolines Manufacturer).

Brisbane Lord Mayor Graham Quirk said the caliber and diversity of this year’s nominees was impressive and demonstrated the vibrancy of Brisbane’s business economy.

“The 2016 LMBA finalists highlight the amazing depth of Brisbane’s business community. They cover areas including hospitality, tourism, law, health services, transport, IT, digital, food, education, and manufacturing,” Cr Quirk said.

“The finalists are raising the bar when it comes to innovation, collaboration, research, and development. They are also representing Brisbane on the world stage.”

Winners of the 11th Lord Mayor Business Awards will be chosen by independent judging panels for each of the 10 categories, and finalists will be announced at a Gala Dinner at City Hall on Friday 28 October.
