Give Dad A Galactic Gift This Father’s Day From Stardome

For anyone thinking of taking Dad somewhere special for Father’s Day, what about another planet? Kids can make Father’s Day out-of-this-world with a special trip to Stardome and Dads and Granddads can chill out and relax in the reclined seats (Dads love these) while watching a show about the stars about us.

 

There’s a great line up of shows playing in the 360-degree planetarium theatre:

1pm - Magic Sky

Magic Sky brings the magic of the sky closer with fantastic images and delivers facts in a fun way, with songs and introductions to “night-time friends”.

2pm - Secret of the Cardboard Rocket

Join two young adventurers for a breath-taking, up-close look at each of our Solar System’s planets with guidance from a wise astronomy book.

3pm - Starry Tales

The characters of ancient Greek legends are brought to life in the elaborately detailed, richly coloured animation of this beautiful, poetic and philosophical show.

4pm - We are Astronomers

‘We are Astronomers’ reveals the global collaboration, technology and dedication required to answer the unresolved questions of the Universe.

6pm - Natural Selection

Join the young Charles Darwin on a voyage of exploration, circumnavigating the World abroad the HMS Beagle.

7pm - Dream to Fly

Discover the mystery of flight with Leonardo da Vinci, Montgolfier brothers, Wright brothers and other inventors.

8pm - Spring Night Sky

Join us at 8pm to learn about the planets, stars and constellations that are visible in the night sky this spring in this presenter-led show.

9.30pm - Seven Wonders and Stars of the Pharaohs double feature

Stardome takes Dads and Granddads on a journey to the seven wonders of the ancient world and the marvels of the universe revealed by modern astronomy.
