A youthful spin on traditional publishing curated by millennials for millennials.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday 18 October 2016

Australian publisher, Pantera Press, is thrilled to announce the launch of its new imprint, LOST THE PLOT, this week at the International Book Fair Frankfurter Buchmesse.

LOST THE PLOT offers a youthful spin on traditional publishing - presenting a range of fun, edgy and beautiful print books by millennials for millennials.

Created by dynamic brother and sister duo, Alison and Martin Green, LOST THE PLOT is a quirky list designed for and curated by millennials.

LOST THE PLOT initially launches with 6 books to showcase the fun and diverse array of titles that the imprint is bringing to the global book market, including:

Just the Tip: Sex Tips for Chicks by Gay Dudes, a book that singles and couples of every age can enjoy and learn from.

The Quit Smoking Colouring Book, a newcomer to the craze that just won’t die.

Space is Cool as Fuck, a stunning art book on the wonders of space. Featuring an in-depth interview with Bill Nye the Science Guy this book has been described as “Bill Nye-meets-Space Jam-meets-The Wu Tang Clan”.

Trump: The Collected Wisdom, a cheeky book to cheer up anyone feeling devastated if Donald Trump should win the upcoming election.

“We’ve been getting a stellar preliminary industry response to our new list and are delighted to launch it at the Frankfurt Book Fair," comments Pantera Press co-director and millennial Martin Green.

“While
LOST THE PLOT is an imprint for our demographic, we’ve designed our titles to also appeal to a much wider audience. Even readers in their 60s love them, telling us they put a ‘spring in their step’."

Pantera Press CEO and co-founder Alison Green, now 30, launched Pantera Press as a start up when she was just 22. Recently named one of the Westpac/Australian Financial Review’s 100 Women of Influence, Alison is currently one of the youngest recipients of this Award.

She notes, "
LOST THE PLOT is exciting and different, but is a natural evolution of our underpinning philosophy of investing in the next generation.”

Pantera Press’ core focus is promoting writing culture by nurturing the next generation of writers (debut writing talent) and readers.

Additionally, with its Good Books Doing Good Things approach, the Pantera Press Foundation also invests in the next generation of readers and writers through various programs and projects designed to close the literacy gap and encourage a love of reading.
