Brother International Australia releases huge line up of Sewing and Craft Products

Sydney, Australia – 24th October 2016 - Brother International Australia is proud to announce the rollout of an expansive line-up of new product releases this month, encompassing all of Brother’s sewing and craft categories. Catering to crafters, embroiderers, sewers, quilters and even those interested in the perfect finishing on seams and hems, the new products offer an option to suit every individual.
The Evolution of the Dream Machine
Two years ago, the Dream Machine was launched globally bringing to the marketplace a host of exciting technology never seen before in the sewing world. With a total of twelve Industry First innovations, the Dream Machine created a new awareness of possibilities among sewing enthusiasts and features the largest workspace and screen size available.
A sewing, quilting, embroidery and craft machine, the Dream Machine includes all of Brother’s unique features from prior models like the V-SonicPen, Muvit Digital Dual Feed and Sew Straight Laser Vision Guide and supplements these with brand new features like the InnovEye 2 technology – a live and magnified camera feed of the needle area, ScanImation – the first scanning frame that works directly on a machine and InnovaChrome LED thread lighting - to assist in indicating thread colour change. However, one of the most exciting developments for Dream Machine users is My Design Centre, which delivers an unparalleled level of design capability.
With My Design Centre and ScanImation, users are able to scan handwriting, line art, images and illustrations, or alternatively use the LCD Draw feature or USB port to import JPEG images, and have all these transformed into embroidery stitch designs, seamlessly, quickly and with little effort.
Already at the pinnacle of breakthrough industry performance, the Dream Machine has now been loaded up with an inspiring range of new features with the VX8500D Upgrade Pack 1, features inbuilt in the upcoming December release of the Dream Machine 2.
From creating trapunto-like projects with the new save outline feature to an enhanced addition of stippling, fill patterns and freehand with the new automatic outline recognition, new inside and outside auto stipple and fill option and an expanded library of embroidery designs, cursive fonts, stippling and fill patterns. Embroidery editing enhancements have been designed across a number of elements including easy applique with instant pattern outline, group and ungroup functionality, combine bobbin work design, multiple design editing and a new colour sort feature when combining designs that efficiently sorts the stitch order by colour to cut down on thread colour changes and save users time and effort. Another addition with the XV8500D Upgrade Pack 1 for the Dream Machine and inclusive with the Dream Machine 2 is a new extra-large 3600mm x 240mm Stability Plus frame made of aluminium, rubber gasket and ribbed corners to prevent slippage for even better stitch results.
The result at end of this extensive list of new upgrades positions Brother’s top of the range model at a new level with benefits most would not have dreamt were possible and an incomparable user experience for serious enthusiasts.
Innov-is Design Series
In the entry to Brother’s premium ranging, the new Innov-is Design Series offers four models of different capabilities, all with ease of use and precision control as the key consideration at the heart of each machines’ design.
The Innov-is F410 and Innov-is F420 models feature Brother’s Square Feed Drive System for smooth feeding action and superior stitch quality on any fabric weight. Across both models an advanced needle threading, quick set bobbin and winder, automatic thread cutter, adjustable thread tension and 850 stitches per minute is included for a fast and enhanced user experience. The Innov-is F420 also includes knee lift for hands free operation and programmable custom stitching with Brother’s My Custom Stitch; a feature bonus to supplement the wide variety of inbuilt stitches included (100 with the Innov-is F410 and 180 with the Innov-is F420).
The new Innov-is NS2750D provides a combination sewing and embroidery offer for those looking for the ultimate in versatility. Along with all the features available with the Innov-is F420, the NS2750 allows for multidirectional sewing in four directions, a total of 240 inbuilt stitches and the ability to add elegant embroidery and lettering to projects on a large embroidery area of 180 x 130mm.
Also available from an embroidery side for both the NS2750D and the embroidery only model PE830DL are a host of easy functional features including onscreen embroidery and text editing, thread sensors, easy framing with 140 different patterns available and a USB port for simple file transfer. A generous library of 173 built-in embroidery designs, including 35 Disney characters and 11 built-in font styles in multiple sizes allows for masterful embroidery creation straight out of the box.
2504D Overlocker
For elegant and professional finishing to seams and hems and decorative effects, the new Brother 2504D Overlocker offers an easy to use three or four thread overlocker machine with multiple features targeted at an enhanced user experience. These include the inclusion of the Fast and Simple Lower Looper Threading System, differential feed for improved stitch quality, quick release stitch finger for instant rolled hemming along with a convertible free arm to flatbed sewing surface. With adjustable pressure control, trim trap tray, built in accessory storage and four colour easy threading guide, the 2504D Overlocker provides a feature packed compact, fully contained portable machine that can easily travel where it’s needed.
PE DesignPlus2
A new Brother propriety embroidery software, PE Design Plus2 offers users the ability to extend their embroidery potential and, in comparison to the original PE Design Plus, allows users to move from basic editing functionality to a design software. Features included with the new Design Plus 2 include photo stitch and basic digitising functions, more shape, fill, text array and line options, a merge and overlap removal option and the same level of versatility as the PE Design Plus10 in the Applique wizard along with a number of other functions. Excitingly for Brother ScanNCut users, the PE Design Plus2 also provides the ability to create an outline around an embroidery pattern and export is as an FCM file that can then be required by the ScanNCut.
New Brother ScanNCut Accessories
The release of the second generation of ScanNCut machines with enhanced functionality including SVG file compatability, RGB colour recognition and larger screens on select models has reinvigorated interest in the crafting community in relation to the Brother ScanNCut and with the new wireless capability, interest has also soared for the cloud based ScanNCutCanvas project library and design application. The release of three new ScanNCut accessories will help prompt this increased interest towards an expanded portfolio of ScanNCut capabilities along with addressing needed functional requirements in response to market feedback.
Embossing Kit
The most exciting release which will prompt new level of creativity for our users is a new Embossing Kit and accessory materials. The embossing Starter Kit includes all the materials needed to create an embossing effect on paper and metal and the ability to create unique designs with both line and region embossing. Metal sheets supplied in the kit include silver aluminium and brass coloured copper sheets.
Acrylic Stamp Block Set
The new Stamp Block Set works in conjunction with the Brother ScanNCut Stamp Starter Kit and Brother ScanNCut Stamp Sheets and offers more freedom in size options of the silicon stamp material cut. Positioning designs on paper and other surfaces is made easier with the new two block set of 75mm x 50mm and 152mm x 50mm acrylic piece with grid.
Spatula & Hook Set
Two new functional tools most ScanNCut users will be keen to grab is the ScanNCut Spatula and Hook Set. The Spatula will help users with lifting designs from the ScanNCut mat with ease with its sleek, thin metal design, ensuring minimal tearing and curling of cut material. The ScanNCut Precision Hook Tool is an ideal weeder for removing tiny cuts from paper, fabric and other various materials along with punching out negative pieces of vinyl and iron-on transfer material from the carrier sheet.
