Rapid Loss 2016 Challenge Finalists lose over 257 kg in 16 weeks

Announcement posted by Hi-Life Health and Beauty 25 Oct 2016

October 25, 2016:

For Immediate Release

Following a rigorous selection process, 10 finalists from around Australia have been chosen to compete for the winning title of the 2016 Rapid Loss Challenge.

Since its inception just over 5 years ago the Rapid Loss Challenge has helped thousands of Australians to not only shed countless kilos of excess weight but also learn healthy eating and lifestyle habits that have enabled them to enjoy more fulfilling lives with long term health benefits.

Having lost a jaw dropping combined mass of 257.3 kilos over a 16 week period the 10 finalists will be vying for $25,000 in prize money as well as an opportunity to be a part of a Rapid Loss TV campaign during a 5 day retreat to be held in Sydney in November.

Unlike TV reality programs that simply focus upon short term weight loss only to put the weight back on (with interest) shortly afterwards a key part of the Rapid Loss Challenge is about educating people about health and lifestyle choices for long term success.

Contestants are judged based upon the transformation they have made to their diet and life-style, willingness to assist others, personal struggles and their commitment to improving their long term health and well being.

As part of the judging criteria contestants were asked to reflect upon what motivated them to embark upon their weight loss journey and how this decision has affected their lives. Many people who are at serious risk of developing life threating health issues as a result of weight management issues are often triggered into taking action as a result of traumatic events in the lives.

39 year old Jules Skedgwell, from South Australia, reflected upon how the death of his brother who died of a heart attack sent him into a deep chasm of depression and drinking which caused his weight to spiral out of control until he saw an advertisement for the Rapid Loss Challenge and was able to gain back control of his life through positive diet and exercise.

Another key element that contestants attributed to their success was the ongoing support and advice offered by the Rapid Loss team. Carol Tataa who has lost 39.8 kg said “Rapid Loss has helped me gain a lot of knowledge and understanding so far as weight loss and health is concerned. I loved sharing my experiences with others and the support I received, and gave was paramount! I have made some beautiful lifelong friends along my journey too through Rapid Loss!”

Other finalists like Celia Tinetti, from Victoria, had tried just about every weight loss program under the sun before stumbling across Rapid Loss and has never looked back losing 27.4 kg and dropping 6 dress sizes in under 16 weeks.

The health benefits that the contestants have gained have been astounding. Frances Fraser, age 61 years, suffered from arthritis in her left foot, hips, hands, neck and lower back. Plus a prolapsed disc in her upper back. Her doctor had given her a prescription for unlimited painkillers and told her to take them because she needed to keep moving and lose weight otherwise she would end using a walking frame for the rest of her life. Within 12 weeks she found she had lost 18 kg, her blood pressure has reduced to 136 over 67. Resting heart rate is 64. She no longer has arthritic pain in her foot, hips, neck or back and runs 15 km per week.

Each of the 10 finalist will fly to Sydney in November for a 4 night retreat at the Bondi Yoga Studio where they will be provided with educational seminars, personal training sessions and a luxury cruise on Sydney Harbour before attending a professional photoshoot where they will receive a complete makeover prior to the announcement of this year’s winner.

About Rapid Loss

Rapid Loss is one of Australia's most popular and highly regarded weight management program. The ongoing success of the Rapid Loss program  is attributable to its simple approach to weight loss and lifestyle change.

The Rapid Loss program is based upon adopting a healthy approach to eating and exercise. A key part of the program is eating 5 energy balanced meals per day which is made up of 3 main meals and two snacks. The Rapid Loss meal replacement shakes form an integral part of the eating plan and can be used either with skim milk as a complete meal replacement or mixed with water as a snack.

One of the unique differentiating factors between Rapid Loss and other meal replacement shake programs is that it contains a unique fullness factor which expands in your stomach so that you do not feel hungry.
