On October 28 at 5pm GO Health Clubs Rothwell will reopen its 2000m2 fitness facility after a $2-milion-dollar refurbishment and a successful ownership transfer from Genesis Fitness.

The facility will officially open its doors as the third ‘Superclub’ in the GO family, following in the footsteps of sister-clubs at Springwood and Carindale.

The new equipment at GO Health Clubs Rothwell totals over $1.2-milion-dollars, replacing all out dated equipment and is the facility’s first upgrade in over a decade.

The refurbishment upgraded all areas of the gym including, the group fitness studio, cycle studio, cardio zone, gym floor (complete with Hammer Strength equipment), and Kids Zone; in addition powerlifting racks, retail area, hot yoga studio and MMA training zone are now complete and ready for use. GO health clubs aim to provide you with ‘Australia’s Best Workout Experience’, from top end equipment and areas to train, great music to keep you motivated and something members can select themselves using the latest technology through Nightlife with Crowd DJ.

“Our promise has always been to inspire people to keep coming back. Constantly upgrading our equipment, great entertainment and programs that keep evolving with what people want,” said director of GO Health Clubs, Niki Dean.

GO Health Clubs have partnered with two new fitness brands to launch their Superclubs. The addition of Arena Fitness MMA and Yogabox have enhanced the variety of fitness programs available at all Superclubs, giving members access to MMA Inspired HIIT classes and Hot Yoga. Members can choose to be a member of just one, or all brands at a Superclub, with different membership options available to cater for everyone.

The renovations to GO Health Clubs Rothwell are just one of three renovations planned by GO Health Clubs in the last twelve months, totalling over $7-million-dollars. Renovations have been completed at Carindale earlier this year and Nundah is scheduled to be revamped before the end of the year.

“My aim is to double our footprint over the next 24 months.  The Superclubs offer more variety than any other training facility, there’s nothing else like it,” Dean said.

Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Active Living Plan states that the region has a low awareness of National Physical Activity Guidelines and a low proportion of people meeting these guidelines.

“Our Superclubs inspire people to get active and live a healthy lifestyle. I believe the region will really benefit from the facility we have built,” said Dean.
