IWORLD AUSTRALIA INKS EXCLUSIVE ANZ DISTRIBUTION FOR STRAWBEES

Strawbees is a construction kit based on one simple unit that lets you connect straws to each other allowing you to build and create anything from mathematical shapes to mechanical claws, or even conceptual jewellery!

Simply come up with an idea and start building, or start building and see where your creativity leads to. With Strawbees you can have limitless fun, by modifying things as you go, adding or cutting straws or adding new connections to develop stronger, flexible and bigger constructions.

There will be 4 Kits on offer, starting at $29.95 and ranging from entry level to pro. Additional Straws will also be available for purchase in 50Pks for $4.95

ENDLESS FUN, UNLIMITED POSSIBILITIES

The fun doesn't stop with straws. Strawbees can also be used to connect cardboard. This means you can explore your creativity and build large scale mechanical objects from cardboard using the same pieces used for the straws.

Or go Pro and animate your inventions. Strawbees is also compatible with Quirkbot a robotics kit (Sold separately) so you can build and program your own robot.

Strawbees also has a FREE APP available for download to further connect digital and analogue creativity. “Become an Inventor” - is an awesome tool to challenge anyone to building huge in 3 dimensions. The app also offers a clear progression path from being a Strawbees beginner, to being a Strawbees pro, being able to build big things and think in new ways.

FOR THE EDUCATORS

Ever since Strawbees was invented, it has been a extremely popular tool at schools, museums, libraries and maker spaces to teach STEAM education. With it’s endless possibilities, mechanical and structural properties, real life engineering can be experienced.

The product is deeply rooted in the Maker Movement, and encourages a trial and error based learning. The prototyping properties, and low cost building blocks (Straws and cardboard) makes the product perfect for experiencing how structures and mechanical bodies act in real life, and how to make constructions more stable and durable.

The best selling kit to schools is the "School Kit" where a few classrooms can play at the same time for an affordable price.

ABOUT STRAWBEES

The story began in 2011, when inventor Erik Torstensson created a connector from plastic waste material from IKEA’s production of lamp shades.

Thereafter, after several iterations of prototyping, Strawbees was launched in 2014 as a successful Kickstarter. The toy also got appraisals in media for it’s simple design yet endless building possibilities.

Now Strawbees, with it’s patent pending system, architecture is about to take over the creative and educational world. The product is already a best seller in several retail chains, due to the unique mechanical and endless building properties.

"We have just started. Our strategy is to always offer our customers and business partners new and exciting products based on our system, and we promise that 2016 and 2017 will be even more exciting". States Erik Bergelin, CEO

"We're excited about the Strawbees range and what it has to offer in both the retail and education market. It's a fun and easy system that teaches kids about physics, maths and the basics of mechanical engineering, and will play an important part for STEAM Education in schools. Over the next couple of months we will be growing and expanding this area into mass retail and education across ANZ" States Chad De Clase Director of iWorld Australia.

Kits start from $29.95 RRP and stock will be available mid to late November 2016
