Announcement posted by Fundraising Auctions 28 Nov 2016

The Fundraising Auctions team spent last Friday on board Holland America’s MS Maasdam, in the Sydney Harbour, to help the Red Cross Society of Women Leaders raise much needed funds for their Eastern Indonesian Humanitarian Project.

The luncheon was not only held to raise money but to launch the new Emerging Leaders Program, a program designed for future women leaders to develop their experiences involving contributions to humanitarian projects being run by Australian Red Cross.

The one-and-a-half-hour silent auction saw many generous bids over 52 items, which helped pushed the total funds raised in the silent auction to $11,087. Roxanne Haid, Operations Manager, said ‘It was amazing event and we are extremely delighted to be a part of such a worthy cause. Not only is it fantastic to be able to help raise such a large amount in a short time, but also to see all the excitement the attendees had bidding on the items.

The project selected by Society of Women Leaders, to be executed by Red Cross, aims to empower women and children in Indonesia to live healthier, happier lives by reducing chronic malnutrition and child stunting in target communities in Eastern Indonesia.

Fundraising Auctions, aims to maximise the amount of money raised for their clients by offering their comprehensive service completely free of charge.
