Brother releases the latest generation of Business Inkjet models for mid to high print volumes

Sydney, Australia – 16th January 2017 – Print and technology specialist Brother has launched the latest generation of A4 and A3 colour Business Inkjet models, re-engineered for businesses with a mid to high print volume requirement. Suited to a wide range of needs, from small offices and small workgroups to medium-sized businesses, the series is specially designed for companies with print volumes of between 250 and 2,000 pages per month.
With a host of improved design features, the seven model range boasts better durability, increased paper handling, quality colour printing and speed. It is Brother’s first Business Inkjet range to use pigment-based inks for all cartridges – which means brighter colours and denser blacks, resulting in sharp text and vivid colour for business documents as well as fast-dry, non-fade prints.
Brother’s latest Business inkjet series is fast at up to 22 pages per minute with swift first page output and copy times of less than six seconds*. With options to use high yield cartridges (up to 3,000 pages monochrome and 1,500 pages colour**), the models offer competitive costs per page – a key driver for businesses making investment decisions about their office equipment and looking to lower their print costs. For a lower total cost of ownership, the flagship MFC-J5930DW and MFC-J6935DW models also come with starter high-yield inks.
The new Business Inkjet Series features seven all-in-ones. The MFC-J5330DW, MFC-J5730DW and MFC-J5930DW, which print and scan at A4 with A3 print capability, alongside the MFC-J6530DW, MFC-J6730DW, MFC-J6930DW and MFC-J6935DW, which print and scan at both A4 and A3.
Improvements that answer business needs
Models in the new generation Business Inkjet line-up are made from new materials, improving on the robustness and durability of the previous series.
The Business Inkjet Series features an improved print head, increasing machine life from 60,000 to 100,000 pages***, and exceptional durability, which means employees can get on with their day job with a device they can rely on.
Ease of use runs throughout the design of the latest Brother A4 and A3 inkjet models. Features include: fast, intuitive touchscreen LCD control panels and physical keys, a ready-to-use 50 sheet Automatic Document Feeder, more robust and easy to extend paper trays, stronger paper guides and a softer close scanner lid – qualities that spell seamless practicality with the new series.
The MFC-J5930DW and MFC-J6935DW, plus the MFC-J5730DW and MFC-J6930DW, feature 2-sided print, copy and scan facility.
In addition, the flagship models, MFC-J5930DW and MFC-J6935DW, include a Paper Low Detection feature, which informs users via a message on the LCD screen when the standard tray paper supply is low, offering hassle-free printing. Both models also allow PDF print directly from a USB stick while PCL 6, and BR-Script3 (PostScript®3TM Language Emulation), ensures compatibility with a wide variety of software systems.
Cloud capability with seven model Business Inkjet line-up
To allow users to work as smartly and as efficiently as possible, the series is compatible with a host of mobile and cloud, print and scan solutions including Brother’s iPrint&Scan and Apple AirPrint.
Brother’s award winning Web Connect technology also means users can scan to and print from popular cloud storage services. The benefit - quick and easy sharing and storing of files including Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive, from all models in the range straight from the touchscreen, without being connected to a PC.
The MFC-J5930DW, MFC-J6935DW and the MFC-J6930DW, also include Near Field Communication (NFC), which enables a ‘tap to print’ connection to be established from NFC compatible mobile devices. An NFC card reader is also incorporated, which allows for pull printing solutions to be added, enabling users to access machine functions and release print jobs securely by using a compatible NFC card or badge.
