Announcement posted by SAI GLOBAL 09 Feb 2017

The UK based Society of Food Hygiene and Technology (SOFHT), is an independent consortium of food industry specialists set up to keep members advised of the latest hygiene and technology issues.

SAI Global, the premier independent assurance organisation that provides restaurant chains, retailers, manufacturers, government, farmers and caterers globally with expert assurance services and validation of their operations has joined The Society of Food Hygiene & Technology (SOFHT) as a Supporting Company Member (SCM).

Supporting Company Membership was set up by SOFHT in 2003 as part of a major drive to enlist the support of larger organisations within the food manufacturing, retailing and related industries.

SCM gives businesses access to a range of services from SOFHT such as market updates in food safety, training and seminars.  Access to the cutting-edge industry advances and technology will support SAI Global with future development of products and services to meet the constantly evolving needs of their clients.  In turn, membership of high-profile companies such as SAI Global enhances SOFHT’s reputation as ‘the voice of food hygiene’.

“SAI Global is delighted to become a SOFHT SCM which allows us to join forces with some of the best thought-leaders the industry has to offer and provides access to market-leading developments in technology.  This allows SAI Global to enhance our contribution to clients when helping them manage their food risk and improving integrity and food safety standards around the world,” said Dawn Welham, Global Technical Director, SAI Global.

The Society of Food Hygiene and Technology (SOFHT), which is based in the United Kingdom, is an independent consortium of food industry specialists set up to keep members advised of the current hygiene and technology issues through providing technical support, training and topical information as well as a vital forum for networking and sharing best practice across the entire food chain.
