Teksmobile Set To Participate In Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017

Announcement posted by Teknowledge software 20 Feb 2017

The GSMA Mobile World Congress 2017 will be held at Barcelona from February 27 to March 2. Teksmobile, headed by CEO Hussain Fakhruddin, will be one of the attendees at the event.

Teksmobile - the rapidly growing multinational mobile app development company - recently confirmed participation at this year’s Mobile World Congress, to be held at Barcelona (Spain). The 4-day event kicks off at the Mobile World Capital (Fira Grand Via and Fira Montjuic) on the 27th of February, and will witness the launch of a slew of cutting-edge smartphones.

The presence at MWC 2017 will be the third instance in the last 6 months, of Teksmobile going for active participation in high-profile international B2B events. Late last year, Mr. Hussain Fakhruddin - the celebrated CEO of the company - had helmed a session on ‘API Strategy Optimization’ at the Nordic APIs Platform Summit (at Stockholm, Sweden). The following month, a small team of delegates from Teksmobile had exhibited in a booth at the hugely popular StartCon Exhibition (at Sydney, Australia). With the MWC next on its radar, these are clear signs of the growing clout of Team Teks in the global markets.

Speaking in an exclusive interview, Hussain mentioned that the entire team of Teks were excited at the prospect of attending the GSMA Mobile World Congress this year. The biggest anticipations are, expectedly, about the new handsets that are likely to be announced at the event. The motley team of Teks representatives heading out to Barcelona this week are also confident about getting excellent peer networking opportunities at the show.

An ardent fan of the latest mobile gadgets and gizmos, the CEO of the mobile app company is himself looking forward to some of the big launches at MWC 2017. With thinly veiled anticipation in his voice, Hussain highlighted the LG G6, Huawei P10, Moto G5 and the Sony Xperia X2 as the ones that seemed the most promising. Interestingly, Nokia - the undisputed leader of mobile handsets in the yesteryears - is also eyeing a comeback (with the Nokia P1 Android phone) at this year’s MWC. Blackberry will make an attempt to recover some lost ground with the all-new Blackberry Mercury (or, Blackberry DTEK70) as well.

As a company that puts client-satisfaction on the highest rung of importance, Teksmobile performs rigorous and thorough on-device testing for all the apps and software it creates. In each of the 5 offices of the company (at Kolkata and Pune in India, Sala in Sweden, and Sydney in Australia), testers work with the latest smartphones and tablets. In keeping with this tradition, the in-house Android developers at Teks are all eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Samsung Tab S3 at the Mobile World Congress. Hussain feels that there is an outside chance of Android Wear 2.0 making its debut at the event too.

Hussain is going to be one of the 5500+ CEOs expected to be present at the 2017
MWC. The event had hosted 2200 exhibitors last year - along with more than 101000 business attendees - and these numbers are expected to go up for this year’s edition. The CEO expressed a hearty interest in each of the 7 themes - Fourth Industrial Revolution, Content & Media, Platforms, Networks, Consumer IoT, Sustainable Development and Government & Public Policy - of the show. On average, 6 out of every 10 attendees at MWC 2017 will be from senior corporate levels, indicating that the networking scopes will indeed be ample.

The Youth Mobile Festival (YoMo) and the Action App Challenge (with the UN Software Development Goals, or SDGs) will be major high points of the upcoming MWC event, feels a senior app developer from Teksmobile. Digital startup event 4YFN - to be held at Fira Montjϋic, is also set to grab eyeballs. The seven MWC Tours and the 22nd GloMo Awards (on February 28) will be exciting too.

Hussain - already a veteran mobile app entrepreneur - feels that attending this event will do a lot of good for his company. For starters, the small team (headed by Hussain) going to the event will get excellent international exposure at the event...something that the Teks CEO refers to as a ‘lifetime experience’. In general too, Teks can fully expect an expansion in its brand reach, and discover profitable networking channels. The fact that nearly 75% of MWC attendees dub the event as ‘the most relevant for the mobile industry’ confirms that Hussain’s decision to participate in MWC 2017 is indeed a wise one.

One thing is for certain - the developers and the gadget-enthusiasts at Teksmobile will gain a lot of knowledge from being a part of MWC 2017. Constant upgradation of skills, capabilities and technical knowhow is something that the company emphasizes on, and - as Hussain correctly pointed out - attending events like MWC is one of the best ways to go about it.
