RAD Joins Campaign To Raise Money For Tsunami Appeal

Announcement posted by RAD Data Communications 02 Feb 2005

RAD Data Australia has announced that it will join the campaign to raise money for victims of the Boxing Day Tsunami through its own fundraising program. RAD Datas managing director, Udi Furman, said the company will donate $1 from every product sold in the first quarter of 2005.
RAD expects to raise thousands of dollars for the relief effort through the fundraising program. The money raised will be donated to the World Vision Tsunami Disaster Appeal.
We feel that it is important for RAD Data Australia to make this gesture, Mr Furman said. Being an Israeli company, we have a first hand understanding of how the public and the corporate community can come together to respond to crisis situations, and we know that a global effort will be required for survivors to rebuild their lives.
RAD has over 250 different products that are sold through distributors and resellers across Australia and New Zealand. These include its Multiservice Access Platform (MAP) solutions, ATM access devices, TDM over IP gateways, remote LAN connectivity solutions, compressed voice systems and wireless multiplexers. The company will promote the fundraising effort on its website (www.raddata.com.au), and will also be producing marketing material for use by partners.
RAD Datas global workforce also generously donated to the relief effort, with employees from RADs headquarters in Israel donating money and clothing that has already been shipped to the affected areas.
