New, city address a sign of big things to come for Equilibrium

Announcement posted by Wise PR Consulting 12 Apr 2017

In a strategic move, and one crucial to the agency’s growth plans, digital agency Equilibrium has relocated to a new, King Street address.

Equilibrium’s Managing Director Warren Gibbs said, “Our attitude to date has been that we lead with our client work, this is what is most important, and the rest can wait.

“But there comes a time when four walls and an address stop being compatible with your culture, the reputation you’ve built and future goals.

“It was time for us to design change around our culture, so it was important to find the “right” space to support our people, our processes and our business strategy in a way that is conducive to growth.”

For the first time in 21 years, Equilibrium has a new home at Level 1, 77 King Street, between Murray and Wellington Streets in the heart of Perth’s CBD; a location that positions the agency closer to their growing number of blue-chip clients.

“Of course, central to the appeal of the King Street premises is accessibility to our clients. It feels good to be in the thick of the action in Perth.”

The team contracted Perth, design specialists IA Design to direct customised upgrades to the generous, 360sqm space which features an impressive, north-facing boardroom with vantage to neighbouring hospitality venues; an open plan main floor area, partitioned offices and a heritage vault room converted to new, end of trip facilities.

“We definitely draw inspiration from an approach favoured by many of the world’s most innovative companies that sees shared space and accidental interaction as key to quality collaboration and creativity.

“Within this space, we are able to create a central hub for our designers, developers and UX experts to work collaboratively, and balance this with break-away common, and generic “thinking” areas within the open-plan.

"With our team, we see a tendency for a blurring of the boundaries between work and personal life. We don’t want our people chained to the desk, we want them to take full advantage of the office space, and the amenity on offer right outside the front door.”

The “perfect fusion of heritage and hi-tech”, Mr Gibbs adds the Equilibrium team settled in quick.

“The mood, energy and enthusiasm are through the roof, everyone is pumped to be here.

With the space still undergoing some final customisation, Equilibrium will be ready to officially launch their arrival with an end of financial year party. Between now and then, they will be kept busy with business as usual.
