On-demand beauty is now available via Australian start-up Beautifinda.
Beautifinda launches with over 500+ beauty professionals in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane with new businesses joining every day.
Beautifinda brings consumers and beauty professionals together in a unique online marketplace. Similar to AirBnB, Beautifinda allows you to search, review and book a beauty professional near you. An online booking and upfront payment system powered by Braintree, protects both consumers and beauty professionals.
Founders James and Samantha McIntyre have backgrounds in beauty, digital and advertising at companies such as realestate.com.au, L’Oréal, News Corp, Woolworths, Coles and Getty Images as well as a number of startups.
Co-founder, Samantha McIntyre says, ‘Beautifinda was born out of being unable to find a mobile beauty professional for the Melbourne Cup. I wanted someone to come to my home and help me look amazing for the races! I couldn’t find someone easily. Speaking to numerous beauty professionals, I realised there was a huge need to help the beauty professionals market their business on mass. Mixing beauty and digital - I just knew this was a great opportunity.
According to Google, 86% of beauty searches happen online and in 2016 there was
130,000 searches per month on average in Australia for “Wedding Make-up Artist”
alone. Beautifinda wants to help mobile beauty professional thrive and have the flexibility to work their own hours. Beautifinda’s allows professionals to set their own pricing, availability and promote their own brand plus analytics to help with their marketing.
Included in the offering is an inspired beauty portal with beauty blogs, trend alerts, ‘before and after’ images and practical advice.
