BitByteBit, creators of LeakyFeed, took home two trophies at the annual Tasmanian iAwards event in Hobart Tasmania, on Friday the 2nd of June; winning both the Consumer Markets and Mobility Innovation of the Year awards.

Hosted by the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), the iAwards purpose is to discover, recognise and reward the technology innovations that have the potential to, or are already having a positive impact on the community – at home, in the office and on a global scale.

“We didn’t start BitByteBit (bitbytebit.com.au) simply to develop great software or make cool products.

We’re fundamentally changing the way news and information is sourced, validated and published. Our solution not only cuts through political, corporate censorship and editorialisation but also enhances the accuracy and relevance of the underlying information collected.

These awards just independently validate that we’re achieving what we set out to do” says Andy How, CEO BitByteBit.

In its current form, LeakyFeed (leakyfeed.com) can be accessed via any internet browser, and NoozeFeed (noozefeed.com), the company’s first automated publishing tool, a website plugin, can be installed on any Wordpress website.
