“We are so pumped to take over the ICC Sydney this weekend and we know our hairdressing visitors will appreciate this new world-class venue and our return to Darling Harbour, right in the heart of Sydney’s CBD”, said Julia Erben, Event Director for Hair Expo.

With hundreds of brands showcasing their latest products and innovations from across the hair and beauty industries, visitors are invited to sample, shop and network with industry peers. Some of the new products that hair professionals can expect to see on the show floor include:

Also available on the Expo floor, a schedule of free demonstrations will take place across three stages, dedicated to international and local industry heavyweights on the Main Stage; men’s styling and grooming on the ManStyle Lab Stage; and up-and-coming talent on the Launchpad Stage.

Some of the guests appearing on stage throughout the course of the weekend include a team of lead educators from Pulp Riot, who are heading to Sydney from the USA; Rotterdam-based fashion hairstylist Guido Rieger, who is the International Master Trainer for Balmain Paris Hair Couture; and Los Angeles-based barbering star, Julius Cvesar, known for his trendsetting barbering styles.

Hair professionals also have ticketed access to some of the world’s most prominent hair educators who are coming to Sydney for the event. British fashion hairstylist, Eugene Souleiman; Hollywood celebrity colourist, Guy Tang; and Sassoon Academy’s Mark Hayes and Edward Darley are just some of the icons appearing at Hair Expo over the course of the weekend to teach stylists their world-leading techniques for cutting, colouring and styling hair.

The fun won’t stop in the evenings, with three gala events set to allow visitors to let their hair down and network with their peers. Hosted by Richard Reid, the Masters of Hair Gala on Saturday night will kick off the weekend and give an insight into the creative workings of some of the industry’s most iconic names; the GenNext Gala on Sunday night will showcase rising talent in a reality TV-style format, hosted by former X-Factor host Luke Jacobz; and the long weekend will culminate in the highly-anticipated Schwarzkopf Professional Hair Expo Awards Gala on Monday night, where the highest talent will be crowned from across Australia and New Zealand. The evening will be hosted by The Bachelor’s Osher Günsberg.

After an incredibly successful 2016 event in Melbourne, Hair Expo Australia will make a welcome return to Sydney this year, before returning once again to Melbourne in 2018. Tickets and more information are available at www.hairexpoaustralia.com
