Adelaide, Australia – 24 October, 2017 – Boutique Australian jeweller Simone Walsh, known for her delightful handmade jewellery, today announced the launch of her heirloom quality, solid silver Christmas Pudding Coins for the 2017 festive season.
The coins make a special gift and are a unique way to add some family fun and an old tradition to Christmas day, with the coins being put into Christmas pudding to give luck to those who find them in their slice. The silver coins can be exchanged for real money, so they can be reused for many years to come.
In 2017 Simone Walsh is celebrating a decade since she first began selling the deluxe sets of solid silver coins, having first been inspired by her mum to start production.
“Initially I made a set of the silver coins just for my mum who missed her mother’s sixpence and threepence coins and the fun tradition of putting them into the Christmas pudding for luck. She really wanted a unique set and asked me to make one for her. I kept getting queries about them from other family members and friends, so decided to put them into production and make them available to everyone,” said Walsh.
“Since then we’ve sent out hundreds of the coin sets across Australia and the world. One customer reported that she gave a set to her mother, who cried and said it was the most beautiful gift she’d ever received. As the designer that makes me very happy!”
The large pudding coins are made in solid sterling silver, with each coin featuring a different vintage Christmas illustration. The coins come beautifully packaged in sets of 6 and are accompanied by Simone Walsh’s family recipes for a very quick and easy Christmas pudding and a decadent brandy sauce.
The Christmas Pudding Coin sets are available now at https://simonewalsh.com/christmas-coins. They are currently $119 for a set of six or $214 for 2 sets. They often sell out prior to Christmas, so customers should get in as early as they can.
