Alcatel (Paris: CGEP.PA and NYSE: ALA) announced today that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC)'s Communications Solutions magazine online (www.tmcnet.com/comsol) has named Alcatel's My Teamwork with video conferencing as a recipient of its 2005 Product of the Year Award.
"Each year Communications Solutions magazine bestows Product of the Year awards on companies that have demonstrated excellence in technological advancement and application refinements. Alcatel has demonstrated to the editors of Communications Solutions that its products or services have gone the extra mile to help improve both the customer experience and the ROI for the companies that use them," said Rich Tehrani, TMC President and Group Editor-in-Chief of Communications Solutions.
"As part of Alcatel's OmniTouch Unified Communications Suite, My Teamwork takes enterprise collaboration to the next level, providing the presence-aware multimedia conferencing and collaboration capabilities which are required by today's businesses and employees," said Jean-Christophe Giroux, president of Alcatel's enterprise activities. "The ease of hosting and offering a feature-rich multimedia collaboration tool like Alcatel's browser-based My Teamwork simplifies conferencing and collaboration for employees and eliminates third-party conferencing costs. We are excited to receive this award, which further recognizes the vast functionality of Alcatel's My Teamwork solution.
