RAD announces new enhancement of its modular integrated access nodes

Paclink has announced the release of RAD Data Communications RAD is pleased to announce Phase 7 of the Megaplex family of modular integrated access nodes.
A major enhancement in this version is support for up to 4 x E1 or 5 x T1 (8Mbps) on all Megaplex units. This makes the Megaplex suitable for nodes that require a larger number of subscribers.
VC-16A ADPCM/PCM voice compression module doubles the capacity of existing bandwidth by packing 62 voice channels onto a single E1 line or 48 voice channels onto a single T1 line. The module does not support signalling.
R2 signalling support with transparent MFC/decadic enables the Megaplex to connect an old R2 PBX to a digital (E1 CAS) PBX, protecting the customers investment and extending the life span of our existing customer installed base.
Available from Paclink the Megaplex family ranges from AUD$15,000.
