WebSpys Monitoring software products surPAss $1 million revenue in May

Announcement posted by WebSpy 18 Jun 2002

WebSpy Ltds business unit responsible for the distribution of Internet and email monitoring and management tools has exceeded A$1 million of product revenue for the year to date as at the end of May 2002.

The company has continued to enjoy consistent growth and record sales from all its sales regions despite tough economic conditions, with the US region in particular predicted to return close to three times the previous years revenue.

While economic recovery in the US shows slow signs of turnaround, WebSpy CEO Jack Andrys is confident that once the economy picks up, sales growth will be further accelerated and the companys products will take a greater share of a market that is still far from mature.

Andrys attributes continued sales growth of WebSpy products to increasing brand awareness of the WebSpy product range, and the products strength in offering a managed approach to changing the Internet usage culture within companies. WebSpy finds that companies now want to take positive steps to improving the efficiency of time spent working with intra and Internet resources, says Andrys. Managers are saying they are past some of the misuse problems now that usage policies have been implemented and as such are asking how to improve profits from Internet access.

A forerunner in developing Internet and email monitoring software for the global market, WebSpy is continuing to lead the pack with its release of new software.
Most recently, the company released Email Analyzer 1.0, boasting advanced reporting tools and functionality in support of email log formats such as GroupWise, Exchange, MDaemon and SendMail.

WebSpy has also released WebSpy Analyzer Giga, an historical analysis and reporting tool, which is optimised for the enterprise market.

Meanwhile, Version 3.1 of WebSpy Sentinel, which captures and stores all web, mail, telnet and news resources downloaded by users, boasts advanced features such as vip exclusions and full content data capture. It increases the stability and scalability of this data capture application, providing a complete package for organisations requiring turnkey solutions for Internet management.

From the beginning, we have focused on developing a superior product and a talented and committed team, says Andrys. We have moved forward slowly and cautiously and are now in a position to dedicate additional resources to marketing, and indeed to further product development. Companies like our products because they are provided with information which is meaningful to managers and our products dont get in the way of doing business by blocking or filtering.
